Meet your surf coach
Daffa
Daffa grew up in Yeh Sumbul and has been surfing since he was 10 years old. He started competing at 15, always for the love of it, and is just as comfortable on a shortboard or twin fin as he is on a longboard. With over four years of coaching experience at a well-known surf camp, freelancing across Bali and working in Canggu, he knows these waves like no one else. Daffa puts your progress at the heart of every session and loves sharing his home break and local knowledge, whatever your level. He’s also a natural with kids, guiding them from ocean safety all the way to competition with patience, warmth and plenty of laughs.

Surf Lesson Essentials
- Sunscreen (zinc works best out here, and reef-safe please)
- Towel
- Water bottle (the sessions are longer than you think)
- Your own board (if you have one). If not, we bring it
- Swimwear (whatever you feel comfortable in). Rashguards are on us

Bali’s legendary long left
A must-visit spot for long, dreamy left-handers. This mellow cobblestone point break offers some of Bali’s longest rides, stretching up to 300 meters or more on good days. With a friendly local vibe and stunning coastal scenery, Medewi Point promises an unforgettable surf experience.
Sumbul Beach
Our home break
Just west of Medewi, Yeh Sumbul is a versatile sandy beach break with both lefts and rights. Smaller days are perfect for building confidence; bigger swells deliver hollow, fast waves with barrels, deep bottom turns and sharp carves, all with very few crowds.
The Righthander
Long, fun wave
While Medewi is famous for its long lefts, the Rivermouth offers a fun right-hand point break just nearby. Less crowded than Medewi Point, it’s a great spot to practice right-handers, improve your turning technique, and enjoy clean, punchy rides on the better days.
Pulukan Beach
Punchy A-frame
A playful, semi A-frame wave with long fun rights and lefts on a semi sand-and-rock bottom. Gentle sections are perfect for take-offs and white water, while the open faces give intermediates and advanced surfers space to carve and experiment with maneuvers.

What level is the coaching suitable for?
All levels: from your very first wave to advanced turns and competition prep. Every session is tailored to exactly where your surfing is right now.
How many people per coach?
Private 1:1 or 1:2 only, never a crowded group. Your coach’s full attention is on you, every wave. If you already surf and just need someone who knows the coast, look at our private surf guiding.
Is surf equipment provided?
Yes. Board, leash and rash guard are all included, plus reef-safe sunscreen for your face. The water is warm year-round, no wetsuit needed.
How does the video coaching work?
Video coaching is available as an optional add-on for a small extra charge. We film your session and analyse your surfing in detail, breaking down each wave, and you keep all your videos as memories.
What time do the surf sessions take place?
Usually in the morning, when the offshore wind grooms the cleanest waves. We confirm the exact time with you the evening before, based on tide and swell.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash (IDR) and common transfer options. We’ll sort the details with you on WhatsApp. No payment is required to enquire.
