DISINI started as a surf school. Now we have built the place we always wanted for our guests: a small, calm surf house in Yeh Sumbul, where you wake up, check the waves from the rooftop and paddle out with Daffa a few minutes later.

Light, simple and made for slow days between sessions. Every room has a comfortable double bed, warm rattan lamps, air conditioning and its own bathroom with a rain shower to wash off the salt. There’s a wooden desk for writing or a quick call home and a clothes rack for all your gear. Choose the ground floor and step straight out to the pool, or go upstairs and wake up to the sun rising over the rice fields.

Questions about your stay

Is the Surf House open?

Yes. We opened our doors on 1 November 2026. Pick your dates and book your room online, we confirm within 24 hours.

Is breakfast included?

No, breakfast is not included. There is a fully equipped shared kitchen where you can cook whenever you like, and the warungs in Medewi are a few minutes away.

How do I book, and when do I pay?

Pick your dates and room on our booking page and send your request. We hold the room for you and confirm within 24 hours by email or WhatsApp. No payment is needed to send a request. Once we confirm, a 50% down payment secures your room.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 14:00, check-out until 11:00. If the room is not booked before or after your stay, we are always happy to be flexible. Just ask us.

Do I have to take surf lessons to stay here?

Not at all. The Surf House is open to everyone: surfers, non-surfers, remote workers and families. Coaching with Daffa is available whenever you want it.

How do I get to Medewi from the airport?

Medewi is about 2 to 3 hours by car from Denpasar airport. We are happy to put you in touch with local drivers we know and trust.

Is the Surf House suitable for families?

Yes. All eight rooms are doubles for up to two guests, so families simply book two rooms. And Daffa is great with kids in the water.
