Take your surfing to the next level
Ready to go beyond the basics? This session is designed to build real confidence in the water while sharpening your technique. We focus on positioning, timing, and reading waves — helping you develop cleaner turns and sharper maneuvers. Through hands-on coaching and instant feedback, you’ll surf with more control, flow, and consistency than ever before. Already surfing well? See advanced coaching.
This level is for surfers who can already pop up and ride whitewater, and are ready to paddle into green, unbroken waves — or who are surfing green waves but want to surf them better. Maybe you can stand up but struggle to read where to sit, time your paddle, or link a turn. That’s exactly what we’ll work on. Already confident out the back? Our private surf guiding puts you on the right break instead.
Why here
Why Medewi is perfect for stepping up
Medewi’s long, mellow point is one of Bali’s best waves to progress on — long rides, consistent waves, and no crowds.
- A long, mellow point break — slow-peeling waves give you time to read the wave, find your line, and link your first proper turns.
- Wave after wave to practice — fewer surfers means more waves, and more repetition is exactly what your surfing needs.
- The right section for your level — we put you on the part of the wave that matches where you are and build from there.
- Local knowledge, inside out — Daffa has surfed this point his whole life, so you progress faster and surf it safely.
- A real slice of Bali — black sand beaches, rice fields and a sleepy fishing village.

FAQ
Is this the right level for me?
If you can pop up and ride whitewater, and want to move on to green waves — or you’re already on green waves and want to surf them better — yes, this is for you. Not sure? Send us a short video or describe your last session on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you honestly.
Do you offer video analysis?
Yes. We can film your session and review it together afterwards — at this stage it’s one of the fastest ways to improve, because you finally see what your body is actually doing on the wave rather than what it feels like.
Which waves will we surf?
Mainly Medewi’s point break, with the exact section chosen to match your level and the day’s conditions. On some days Sumbul’s beach break or the nearby right-hander are the better call — we always pick the wave that helps you most.
Is the point safe for me?
Yes — Daffa knows every current, rock and section of the point and will only put you where it’s right for your level. We time the tide, choose the entry together and stay close in the water. Safety always comes first.
Is it 1:1 or a group?
Private 1:1 or 1:2 only — never a group. Your coach watches every wave you take, which is exactly what makes the feedback so effective at this stage.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen. We can provide a board and rash guard if you need them.
How long is a session?
Around two hours in the water, plus a short check-in before and video review after. Enough time to try things, adjust and nail them — without running out of arms.
