Who we are
Welcome to DISINI Surf House
We’re a small surf crew on the quiet west coast of Bali, in Yeh Sumbul near Medewi, far from the crowds of the south. Our surf school and guided surf trips are open and running every day, and since 1 November 2026 our Surf House is open too: eight double rooms around a pool, a few minutes from the beach. Disini isn’t a place you just pass through. It’s a place that feels like home: switch off the noise, slow down, and finally make the kind of progress in your surfing you can actually feel, whether you’re standing up for the very first time or chasing your next clean wave.

The Story
Disini was born here in Yeh Sumbul. We never wanted just another surf camp, but a place that feels like home, where you surf with people who actually live this coast.
What makes us different
- Coaches who live here. No seasonal staff: these are their home breaks, all year.
- Never more than two of you with one coach, so every session is personal.
- Video analysis as an optional extra, so you can see the change.
What we’re not
- Not a party hostel. We love a good evening, but the best waves come early.
- Not a luxury resort. Comfortable and relaxed, never stiff.
- Not a faceless surf factory. If you want anonymous, we’re probably not your place.

Meet our head coach
Daffa
Daffa grew up in Yeh Sumbul and has been surfing since he was just 10 years old. Competing since 15, always for the fun of it, and just as at home on a shortboard or twin fin as on a longboard. He has coached at a well-known surf camp, freelanced around Bali and worked in Canggu.
There’s nothing he loves more than sharing his home breaks and passing on his local knowledge, whatever your level, from your very first wave to competition coaching. One session with Daffa and you’ll see your surfing (and your stoke) grow.

Disini is absolutely one of the best surf camps I’ve ever been to! I spent more than two weeks here and had such an amazing time. Daffa’s coaching helped me improve my surfing so much. His analysis is amazing, and he really takes such great care of his students — always paying attention, giving helpful feedback, and making sure everyone feels supported and comfortable in the water.
I also joined the surf trip to Java, which was perfectly organized from start to finish. It was such a wonderful experience, with amazing waves, beautiful places, and great memories. You can really tell how much thought and care Daffa and his team put into making sure everyone has an incredible time, both in and out of the water.
I had an amazing time with the group as well. The atmosphere, the people, and the overall vibe were just incredible. Definitely the best vibe around Medewi.

He picked me up from the hotel and took me back there afterwards. Daffa was awesome. I had 2 great lessons with him. I was standing up and surfing whitewash within 30 minutes, and progressed to surfing small waves the next day.
He handled all the board hire and organised the best times to surf, and even came and picked me up and dropped me back to my accommodation for free, which was very generous!

I did a girls surf trip to Java with these guys. I cannot fault them. Everything was organised and professional and we got epic waves. I have also done a 1:1 coaching session with Daffa when I felt a little intimidated by the wave size. Daffa always had me in the right position and made sure I felt safe and happy, and gave me the confidence to go on waves I would usually pull back on. I literally got the best waves that day.
