About the trip

G-Land is one of the world’s great left-hand point breaks: wave after wave peeling down the reef in front of the jungle. It breaks across several sections, and we start you where it suits your level: the softer, forgiving walls at the top of the point, then on towards the faster, more technical stretches as your confidence grows.
Each section has its own personality. Kongs kicks things off with a punchy, steep take-off and barrel. Money Trees is the classic heart of the point: a long, drawn-out wall that just keeps running. Speedies is the quickest stretch of all, a section you simply have to race flat-out. Level-based coaching and daily video analysis mean you leave faster, more confident and reading the wave better than when you arrived.
The wave works best in the dry season (April to October) on a solid southwest swell, with the morning offshores grooming clean, makeable lefts. Between sessions it’s pure jungle: monkeys, reef, and nothing but the sound of the surf. And depending on the swell, we sometimes head over to Tiger Track, a fun, playful right-hander just around the corner.

G-Land FAQ
What level do I need for G-Land?
Intermediate to advanced. G-Land breaks over reef and carries real power. The top of the point gives you the softer, more forgiving walls to settle into, while Speedies is fast and unforgiving. Not sure where you sit? Tell us your experience and we’ll place you honestly.
How long is the trip, and how many people come along?
From two nights, and from three guests: G-Land is the one trip on our list that needs a minimum of three. Groups stay small: you are guided personally, not moved through a camp programme.
What’s included?
Accommodation at Jawa Jiwa, transport from and back to Medewi, transport to the surf spots by boat and jeep, daily guided surf sessions, and drone video footage of your surfing. Water and tea are always free. Boards are available for an extra charge, and airport pickup can be arranged separately.
What about food?
You choose: all-inclusive, or breakfast-only if you would rather eat out. Tell us which you prefer when you enquire and we’ll set it up.
When is the best time to surf G-Land, and what does it cost?
