This is where good surfers get great

We break down advanced maneuvers, sharpen your wave positioning, and build the adaptability to handle any conditions. Expect detailed coaching, real feedback, and the tools to surf every turn with more precision, power, and flow. Prefer pure local knowledge over coaching? See private surf guiding.

This is honest, performance-focused coaching for surfers who already ride green waves confidently and want to surf them better. We’ll dial in your positioning on the point, your top and bottom turns, how you generate and carry speed, and your wave selection — the details that separate riding a wave from really surfing it.

Why here

Why Medewi is perfect for refining your surfing

For surfers who already know what they’re doing, Medewi is a dream training ground — a long, walling point that lets you link turn after turn, far from the crowds of the south.

  • A long, walling wave — Medewi runs for a long way on the right swell, giving you the canvas to link multiple turns and really work on your flow.
  • Endless repetition — quiet line-ups mean more waves and more reps, the single biggest factor in sharpening high-level surfing.
  • Every tide and section — the wave changes with tide and swell; we use that to target exactly what you want to refine.
  • Local knowledge you can’t buy — Daffa has surfed this point his whole life and reads it like nobody else.
  • A real slice of Bali. Black sand beaches, rice fields and a sleepy fishing village — well off the beaten track.

FAQ

Who is this for?

Surfers who already ride green waves confidently and want to refine technique, positioning and style. If you can link turns but feel stuck on a plateau — or you’re preparing for heavier waves and surf trips — this is exactly where the next step happens.

How does the video analysis work?

We film your session from the beach and sit down together afterwards to review it clip by clip. Seeing your own surfing from the outside makes corrections click instantly — we agree on one or two specific changes, and you take them straight back into the water.

Can you coach me on Medewi’s point?

Yes — the point is Daffa’s home wave and the main stage for advanced sessions. He has surfed it his whole life and knows every section and tide, so you’re always on the right part of the wave for what you’re working on.

Do you film every session?

Video is a core part of advanced coaching and we aim to capture every session. Just tell us it matters to you and we’ll make sure the camera is rolling — and you keep all your clips afterwards.

Is it 1:1 or a group?

Private 1:1 or 1:2 only — never a group. At this level, progress comes from wave-by-wave feedback, and that only works when your coach watches every single ride you take.

How long is a session?

Around two hours in the water, plus goal-setting before and video review after. All in, plan for roughly three focused hours — enough to work on real changes without burning out.
